As we stat the Trócaire Box Appeal this Lent, I would like to thank you for your ongoing support and generosity, we simply couldn’t do our work without it. We are all living with climate change and at Trócaire we believe it is one of the biggest threats facing humanity today. But often, it’s those who have contributed the least to the crisis that are bearing the brunt of its most devastating effects.

The changing climate is having a severe effect on the communities we work with. Their ability to recover after each climate crisis and live with the ongoing erratic weather is a constant challenge. The impacts are often devastating, long lasting and are pushing families further into poverty.

With your support we can help families too not only adapt to climate change, but to work towards a more secure future. By supporting communities to plan, build and strengthen flood defences, you can help families to protect their homes and crops against extreme weather.
